Poland
Poland is situated in a geographical center
of Europe. It has diverse environment and
no barriers separating it from the rest
of continent. Polish nature links the features
of the whole European nature.
In Poland you can find species of fauna
and flora typical for Middle Europe, but
there are some species distinctive for northern
regions. In the south of Poland, especially
in Lublin area you can meet species from
nature of south-western Europe. There are
also species from the Atlantic coast (at
the Baltic See) and for the Alps in the
Tatra Mountains). There are only a few species
which represents Mediterranean nature.
Polish nature represents the world of living
beings from the whole continent. The birds
migratory patterns cross over Poland, so
many of them from northern parts of our
continent appear here and only a few species
from the Siberia, rarely migratory birds
from the Far East and strayed birds from
the North America.
Therefore the particular value of Polish
nature, in comparison to the European, is
a representation of living beings from the
whole continent.
If you improve your knowledge about Polish
nature you will probably become a European
nature expert.
