Polish mushrooms

King Bolete

One of the most desired and recommended species. Its advantage is a noble aroma (especially after drying). The disadvantage is that it appears very rarely (so you must know the places of growth) and there are many mushroom pickers. You can prepare as you like, but because of the price they are usually dried and used as seasoning.

Bay boletus

The most frequently picked mushroom in Polish woods. It hasn't got so pleasant and strong aroma as King Bolete but it is tasty too. It is often prepared by cooking until it gets thicker. It can be marinated or dried.

Chanterelle

It is easier to find it than King Bolete. Its basic advantage is a pleasant aroma and taste. They are mostly served freshly and in sauces. It loses its values during drying ; marinating is a recommended way of preservation. They are picked easily and pleasantly.
